Dr. Lisa Januskey, O.D.

Dr. Lisa Januskey has always been fascinated by how people experience the world around them. That's one reason she's passionate about helping patients understand that vision is about much more than seeing clearly. It's about how the eyes work together, how the brain processes information, and how visual skills impact everyday life.

Whether she's helping a child who struggles with reading, fitting a patient with specialty contact lenses, managing an eye condition, or helping someone finally find answers to a frustrating vision problem, Dr. Januskey loves helping patients reach their full potential.

Education & Professional Background

Dr. Januskey graduated Summa Cum Laude with University Honors from Texas A&M University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2006.

She has completed more than 100 hours of postgraduate education in binocular vision disorders, accommodative disorders, amblyopia, strabismus, vision therapy, and post-brain-injury vision rehabilitation.

The Story Behind Precision Eye Care

In 2007, Dr. Januskey and her husband, John, founded Precision Eye Care with a simple goal: to help members of their community reach their full potential.

That mission continues to guide the practice today. Every decision, every patient interaction, and every team member shares the same purpose: helping patients feel known, cared for, and confident in their vision.

Outside the Office

Dr. Januskey and her husband, John, are the proud parents of Audrey, Joey, twins Brandon and Bradley, Jake, and Anastasia. They are active members of St. Thomas Aquinas in College Station

When she's not caring for patients or cheering on her team at Precision Eye Care, you'll likely find her spending time outdoors with her family, attending Aggie football games, reading science or military fiction, catching an OPAS performance, or learning something new.

She'll be the first to admit she's a bit of a nerd, and she's perfectly okay with that.
